Due to the importance of healthcare services in the economics of communities, the provision of modern patterns in healthcare services has been considered. Also, in the last decade, new services such as health tourism and home-based healthcare services have been taken into consideration.

 

Until a few years ago, healthcare services in Iran were mainly provided by the public sector. In recent years, the role of the private sector and charities has been growing, and this can lead to better distribution and improved quality of healthcare services in the community.

Ra’yehe Sepehr Salam Medical Care Company (SALAM Dialysis Centers) has been active in the field of investment, construction, equipping and operation of dialysis centers inside and outside of Iran, which are presented as follows:

 

a) Projects in Iran: The establishment of SALAM Dialysis Centers in Qom, Golshahr, Mohammad Shahr & Fardis (Alborz Province), Khavaran and Behfarin (Tehran City) with a total of 140 dialysis beds, as well as providing educational services to doctors, nurses, care services staff, patients and their families.

 

b) Projects Abroad: Participating in international markets in various forms, is one of SALAM Group’s Main Business Strategies, for which case, considerations for the quality of the design and workmanship in manufacturing our Hemodialysis Machine and the successful experience in the establishment and management of dialysis centers, are of utmost importance.

 

Ra’yehe Sepehr Salam Medical Care Company, Invests in various forms in other countries through signing memorandum of understanding and contracts with native partners. The first Dialysis Center Outside of Iran was launched in Autumn 2018, in the City of Herat in Afghanistan, in a joint venture with a local partner. In addition, preliminary studies and negotiations, have begun with foreign partners for joint ventures in other countries in the region, including Iraq, Republic of Azerbaijan, Syria, and countries outside the region, such as Uganda, Kenya, and South Africa.

 

Ra’yehe Sepehr Salam Medical Care Company launched its first “Private Comprehensive Hemodialysis Center” in 2016. Establishment of, a chain of such centers, have continued since and their number has raised to seven centers in 2019.

 

These centers are being equipped and operated, with the view on the use of Hemodialysis Equipment Made in Iran, and aiming to provide optimal services and increased dialysis efficiency to the patients. Amongst the achievements resulting from this process, that could be highlighted are, a “new model” for managing such centers, registration of the title “First Comprehensive Hemodialysis Center in Iran”, launching and operating the “First International Hemodialysis Center” under Iranian management and also equipped with Iranian made Hemodialysis Equipment, and participation in the production and use of the first Iranian comprehensive software for managing hemodialysis centers.
