Unfortunately, National Increase of Cases of Diabetes Mellitus and High Blood Pressure Due to Spread of Unsuitable Nutritional Habits has led to Significant Increase in Rates of Kidney Disease in Recent Years.

Hemodialysis is the Most Common Alternative Treatment for Patients with Late Stage Chronic Kidney Disease / CKD and End Stage Renal Disease / ESRD or End Stage Kidney Disease / ESKD

Basic knowledge and advanced technology for production of dialysis machines are available only by 8 credible world-class brands from four countries, namely: Germany, Sweden, Japan and Italy. In practice, developing and increasing the capacity of dialysis beds and consumables required for dialysis treatment are dependent on supply of equipment and materials and technical support by these companies which is expensive and requires relatively high foreign exchange resources.

This shortcoming on one hand and having years of experience in industrial fields; gave us the incentive to invest in design and fabrication of hemodialysis machine and try to compensate these shortages as best as we can and also localize this valuable technology in Iran.

Iran is the Fifth Manufacturer of Hemodialysis Machine in the World

Thanks to Allah Almighty and with persistent efforts of a group of elite young iranian engineers, this collaborative endeavor came to fruition and the first Iranian brand and the ninth global brand of hemodialysis machine, namely: ATF 1022, was successfully designed and manufactured and after going through industrial tests and clinical trials, received all mandatory licenses and approvals.

Currently, production line for ATF 1022, with a capacity of 1,000 machines per year, has been set up at the Pardis Technology Park and as an example of a knowledge based product by Arya Teb Firouz Company (subsidiary of SALAM Medical Equipment Group), has successfully passed stages of design, fabrication and commercialization.

With the realization of this important achievement, Iran is the fifth country in the world to attain this technology.
